Introduction to

PRS/Competition Shooting

This course is geared toward the person who is interested in either competing or just wants to know what competitive precision rifle shooting is about. This course will expose you to as real of a precision rifle match as it gets, without actually being at a match. We will discuss caliber selections, required gear, tripod deployment and uses, what a stage is, how the scoring process works, how to evaluate a stage as well as position building and transitioning. This will show you what to expect, should you participate in a match. We will quickly dissect wind and how to make fast wind calls. We will start out slow then begin running stages against the clock. Most stages will be between 90 seconds to 2 minutes to engage several targets from multiple positions with 6-10 shots per stage. Bring your own gear or use ours, or a little bit of both. This course is somewhat fast paced and a ton of fun. Exposure to this style of shooting has a way of making good shooters into great shooters.

Course requirements; A rifle that is capable of 1 MOA group or less at 100 yards. Rifles are also available at no extra charge. All rifle systems will be suppressed, therefore requiring a threaded barrel. If you do not have a suppressor, one can be provided.
